Oulu Innovation

Oulu Innovation Oy is a development company that supports the growth, development and competitiveness of technology enterprises in Oulu and the Oulu Region. One of its key tasks is to implement the Oulu Region Centre of Excellence Programme and Oulu Growth Agreement.

The company focuses on anticipating future products and operating environments and on generating unrivalled technological expertise.

In financial terms, the technology sector plays an important role in Oulu. In 2004, there were some 800 technology companies in the Oulu Region, employing some 17 400 persons and producing a total turnover of 4.13 thousand million euros.
